Come one, come all, to this A Cappella Extravaganza! One night, and one night only, you can come enjoy an evening of a cappella, including student groups from Marblehead High School, Salem High School, Chelmsford High School, and one professional group, Ball In The House. All these groups have been working hard throughout the year to create the perfect set and wow the audience. Performances at competitions, such as ICHSA and NE Voices, prepared them to take on any challenge.
The Jewel Tones and Luminescence are the two auditioned groups from Marblehead High School, directed by Mr. Scoglio. With rehearsals twice a week, they each have about 6 songs that they will perform. You’ll recognize The Jewel Tones from their colorful ties and variety of songs. Luminescence you’ll never look away from, as their outfits and girl-boss songs are as spunky and sparkly as the sun. And you can’t forget about The Grizzlies, the non-auditioned acapella group, which will open the show with a quick skit and a few songs that will definitely get the crowd roaring.
Salem High School’s Witch Pitch? often make an appearance at Marblehead’s annual showcase, and they always stun the crowd. Who knows what they’ll whip out of their sleeves this year? Then there’s The Crescendos from Chelmsford High! This all girls group has a history of winning endless awards and competitions throughout the years, and no doubt they will woo us all with their crazy talents.
Lastly, we’ve got Ball In The House, coming live! This professional a cappella group of four men is just so incredible. Not only do they have a whole set prepared, but they have also prepared a song that all the student groups will sing with them. A song that some parents out there will definitely jive along to.
So make sure you pop out to Acappellooza on Friday, May 5th at 8:00, at Marblehead High School. It will be a night to remember and you’ll leave singing away at the wonderful songs you heard.
